Chip’s bloodlines go back 35 times to AQHA Hall of Fame horses including
multiple crosses to Three Bars, Sugar Bars, Leo, King, Joe Reed,
Joe Reed II, Poco Dell, Poco Bueno, Zippo Pine Bar and Zippo Pat
Bars. His grandsire, Zips Chocolate Chip is a double NSBA Hall
of Fame horse (both as a Show Horse and as a Sire).
On the Thoroughbred side, Chip goes back to a Thoroughbred
Hall of Fame Horse, a Racing Hall of Fame horse and a Belmont Stakes winner.
Sire: Zans Living Legend -
Legend has 60 AQHA Performance points with an AQHA Superior in
Western Pleasure and an AQHA Performance ROM. He was Solid Gold
Reserve Champion in Western Pleasure and 8th out of 132 in Western
Pleasure (only Stallion shown) at the International Congress,
as well as a North American Expo Sr. Pleasure Champion. As of
2002, he had, for five consecutive years, sired Top 10 at the
International Congress in Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Yearling
Longe Line and Weanling Halter . He has also sired an All Around
Grand Champion at the Denver Stock Show and futurity champions
in Weanling Halter, Yearling Longeline and Western Pleasure in
Utah, Oklahoma, Illinois, Colorada, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Tennessee,
Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Texas and California.
Sire’s Dam: Zans Tiffany Ann was an AQHA
Reserve World Champion in Halter, an AQHA Champion, and qualified
in five World Performance Events. She had a Superior in Halter,
with 79 Halter points and 69 Performance Points. Her sire was Zan Parr Bar, a three-timeAQHA World Champion
in Halter with 245 Halter points and an astounding 357 Performance
points. He sired 36 AQHA World Champions and multiple AQHA Champions.
Zan Parr Bar was also AQHA Hi Pt. Halter Stallion in 1977 and
a Congress Halter Champion. The dam of Zans Tiffany Ann, Sagey
Ann was an AQHA Champion and the dam of an AQHA Reserve
World Champion.
Dam: Count Me A Miracle, a 16.2 hh Appendix
Quarter Horse mare, was not shown AQHA. She was beginning a career
as an eventer at the time of her death in 2002.
Dam’s Sire: Quincy Sun Dun was an AQHA
Champion and multiple AQHA Champion sire. He also sired a World
Champion and a Reserve World Champion in Western Pleasure. Sun
Dun had 111 AQHA Halter Points and 23 Performance Points, a Halter
Superior, and was in the top 10 at the AQHA World Show in Halter.
Quincy Sun Dun was by Sir Quincy Dan (20 halter
points and AQHA Champion sire) by Quincy Dan (68 halter points; sire of 7 AQHA World Champions and 12 AQHA
Champions).
Quincy Sun Dun’s dam, Penny Perk, was
an AQHA Champion producer whose bloodlines include Snipper Reed,
Joe Reed, Shady Dell, Poco Dell, Poco Bueno and King.
Dam’s Dam: Nother Dilly (TB), unraced,
was a Hunter-Jumper until her retirement due to injury. Her sire, Martins Shadow, was sired by George Royal,
a Thoroughbred hall of Fame horse and Leading Canadian Horse of
the Year at four years. Nother Dilly’s dam, Dilly
Shot, was by racing champion and leading sire, Winning
Shot, who traces back to a Belmont Stakes Winner, a Racing
Hall of Fame horse and two horses who led the U.S. General Sires
