It’s with extreme sadness that the much admired and greatly loved Billy Irwin died in a fishing accident on "Roche Lake" near Kamloops on Sept.5/08 We would like to thank Const.Price, Kamloops Rural RCMP for her compassion to me and to others that tried to help.....we are extremely grateful...thank you
Bill Irwin was his own man...reserved and proud.... he expressed deep emotion and cared deeply for those he loved. He was well known as a man that filled his life with hard work, honesty and integrity. Sharlis his wife of 52 years was the love of his life... they were best friends and confidents and He was the rock that cemented their wonderful life together. Bill was a super dad to his daughters Kami & Jaimin and respected and loved by his son-in-laws Bill Tymchuk and Bruce Ryall. He will be sorely missed by his sister Dorothy and her husband Bob and their extended family. Bill cared deeply about the passions in his life...his family, friends, the horses,and the hunting, fishing and travel, that were a huge part of who he was. Here was a man who listened and his thoughts and wisdom came from the heart. He was sincere, gentle, loyal, caring and because of these traits will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have known him. The memories he leaves behind will be timeless and treasured.... he will never ever be forgotten..... there is no greater love.... than the love we had for this man among men....
Bill was gifted and avid Horseman. The Quarter Horse World lost a man dedicated to the betterment of the breed through selective breeding...he cared about conformation, their minds and the quality of the individual animal. Over the years he raised multiple Champions both Halter and Performance and owned several stallions. These stallions and their get won over 8900 AQHA Points These horses competed and won at the AQHA World Show level, the ABRA and the PTHA Worlds . For a Canadian breeder with a small family farm it’s quite an incredible accomplishment. ....His best known stallions were the AQHA Champion "Sir Colonel and "Ima Cool Irwin" A Canadian Leading sire
There will be a celebration of his life Saturday Sep.27 and Sunday Sept.28....I:00-5:00 PM at the Home of The Irwins, Langley, BC
